Now that the hunting season is starting, we have a little problem here on the forum. There will be pictures of dogs on foxes etc, we know its still legal here, but do we really want any joe blogs viewing it? So we have two options,
1. Make the forum only accessible to members who are logged in and keep it the way it is.
Or
2. Only have trophy style pictures, and pictures of the chase, while keeping the forum viewable even when not logged in.
The poll will run for 7 days
Please Vote

Personally, I've gone for option two, on the assumption that by 'Trophy pictures' ye mean those displaying some respect for the quarry. I would imagine that does Not include screaming, kicking things with lurcher necklaces?
Let's face it; Making a forum 'members only viewable' simply means those of evil intent simply have to suffer the miniscule inconveniance of Registering. Then they might expect to be treated to a smorgasbord of just what they'll come looking for.
Such an approach would also give the slower witted members a false feeling of security. Call a forum " Extreme ..... " and just watch the dinilos slap up shots of ever increasingly illegal and down right cruel practices. And they really think the creater of such a site can keep our enemys out? Oh really? And I suppose the people who lost their Dogs to the BBC thought They could spot a nark at 100 paces to, eh?
Face it: If ye don't type it and don't show it then they can't 'prove' it's going on. It probably shouldn't be anyway. But there's enough sick little f*cks out there to ensure it always will.
I'd just rather not be around such. |

Actually, Sean, ye can say that Again, mate! I about lost the will last night - Again! - but I've been messing constantly with my cookies and now Hope I might have trapped the right one at last. We'll see.
Failing that, I'll talk to my new 'friendly geek' and see what he can come up with |

Good post DS and I agree entirely with your views. Lets not infer that there's something "juicer" going on behind closed doors.
Option 2 for me then.
Cheers

option 2,personally in the current climate i'd be very wary of posting working shots at all.
as long as anyone can join it's irrelevant wether members only can view.
sean and ditchy will have to be on the ball though when the halfwits start posting |

Has to be option 2 for me as well folks, let's face it our sport is under pressure and we don't need to give the anti's any more ammo than they already have.We know that they'll edit anything even remotely "bloodthirsty" to their fullest advantage ! So let's keep it sensible . |

that is the end of the poll. the forum will stay viewable to the public, and images will be moderated. images with dogs and birds on live quarry will no longer be allowed, though dogs retrieving is still be ok. Chases are also still ok, if your lucky enough to get the shot
