Ever since i finished my first cage trap i have been trying to catch my self a sqizzer, i have tried all kinds of baits and sett the trap in loads of what i thought to be a good hot spots, still no sqizzers
my trap works well though

I have had a black bird, two woodies and a collared dove, all were released immediately and unharmed.

Ye've set in " Loads " of places? Inside what time scale, mate?

What makes ye " Think " the locations might be " Hot Spots "? Ye seen squirrels there?

Try brashing the trap over too. No need to go over board. We're not talking S.A.S here. If ye have a hessian sack, sling that over the trap and sling any bits of stick and old vegetation ye have to hand over it. Make the entrance appear like something that squirrel better just check out - in case. (That might also help keep quite so many birds out).

Maize is a good bait. Unkibbled Maize. Squirrels like to 'kibble' it themselves. But it's not number one with most birds. All helps.

Have ye figured out what ye going to do as and when ye do get a live one?
