frozen food

hi all , anyone know of a frozen chick/mice supplier down south im running low and weather is to bad for rifle shooting
DitchShitter

You use a rifle on mice?!?

Naah, seriously though mate; Try hooking up with a local, one man band, Pest Controller. Check around and see if ye can find one willing to hand over Only 100% Guaranteed trap victims from situations where he hasn't been baiting. Not an easy solution to come up with, but it may help?

Only I'm a Pester myself and I have my own stock of frozen mice. I use them for bait for other things. Bloody amazing how many I get. But then I do prefer to trap them, rather than use bait, when ever possible.

Alternatively, just get some traps of ye own out (and in the roof space!). I don't know how many birds ye have there, or how much they eat, but if ye concerned about ye stocks of feed for them or it, now's the time to start practicing a little self sufficiency. If nothing else, it'll do the neighbourhood a favour and will put something in ye freezer against any future dodgy moments such as ye seem to be facing now. No?

what about going to the local hateries? they will probually sell you chicks very cheaply, or maybe trying a reptile shop.

Killiwee; I'm back on this one, inspired by a comment I read elsewhere. Someone mentioned that they feed that " Complete " crap to their ferrets in summer, " When natural food gets harder to come by. "

Now; On that given basis, you too might find proper grub for ye bird there hard come by. Only no damn BOP is ever going to accept and thrive on hard, greasy nuggets of shit, right? Ye'll either have it's natural diet available of the bird will 'diet'.

Same goes for reptiles. And my mate used to keep some Serious reptiles! Know what he did? He bred his own rats and mice. Kept them in fish tanks with wood shavings on the bottom. Damn things got the hang of it and bred themselves so much he was always more than happy to sling me a few too.

Now, I've tried this, with mice, and low and behold; It's Not just a case of Mr and Mrs Mouse = Many Mice. God knows what I did wrong there. I gave it up due to my miniscule needs for mice and the bother or bothering. I never actually tried rats because, despite exterminating them as a trade, I think the 'pet' ones are cute and wouldn't really have the stomach for whacking them!

Perhaps you don't feel that way? Perhaps ye can rustle up a cracked, 3 or four foot fish tank and buy some pet rats to go in it? Perhaps ye'd never have to fret over feeding that bird ever again?

Just a thought
Sean

rats are a little cheaper mate, and much better than than mice too.
p.s ditch, i feed mine complete
ferrets that is!
