Out last night, small videoi did write up a big report, but some prat turned the computer off, so this is the short version, out last night, bright moon, and not to breezy. start of the night was bad with only seeing a few rabbits and hardly getting near anyway. tried a differenet part of farm and had a few good flights. one kill was a decent one along the edge of the field, another was a squatter, which he caught and got a bit of a dragging from. cudnt hunt on after that as i think he deserved a feed after holding it so long. heres the video of the last rabbit

That is wicked Sean
Did not think you could use a hawk at night
Does your bird ever get hurt at night crashing into things or would thier vision be on a par with an owls with the aid of the lamp?
What kind of hawk is it you have?

vision wouldnt be like an owls, but alot better than ours, i have seen him bate towards rabbits on a moonlight night without the lamp a few times. doesnt really bang into things, except bushed when on the tail of a rabbit, fenches arent a problem with him, tho may be with some others
