Swastika on fence

Hope this works....This is a question for the Ditchshitter...or anyone who can help.  Took this picture last summer at a fishery just outside Lanark in Scotland.  I noticed the swastika on the side and it got me wondering about the why's and where's.  It's one of those couplings they use to tighten the wire on fences, so any ideas comments would be good....cheers!

Wow! Oh, man! That is a Beauty!

Oh; What a horrible thought    It just occurred to me; The Nazi's liked their fences ..... Know what I'm saying?

Somehow though, I'd rather not think that. I mean, why in hell would anyone want to fetch That back and still be using it sixty odd years later? It doesn't mesh (Mesh? Fence? FFS!   )

Ok. All I can really suggest is that that symbol wasn't always the epitome of evil. It's simply another Rune. Like eagles aren't intrinsically bad birds. But, see one in conjunction with that rune and we really start getting the whole picture, yeah?

However, this tangles me. It doesn't look old enough to be pre Nazi. Common sense says it's got to have been something that farmer picked up in the local store, just as I can ~ indeed Have. I have those things here. No swastika's though.

So, I guess, what we're getting at now is country of origin. Modern manufacturer. Know what? Putting two and two together, I have a sly hunch that thing was made in India

Try digging around on Google. Swastika - India. Let us know what ye come up with.

Yeah I've had a look around and googled it but still no definative explanations as to why it would be on this fence.  I plan on paying the farmer a visit the next time I'm up that way and I'll ask....I hope he aint one of those repatriated war criminals...lol I'll keep you posted ....In relation to the swastika this is the inverted one that the nazi's used in the war not the peace symbol it is supposed to represent....cheers anyway!

Sorry to jump in Undi!

Didn't some Indian steel company used to use that emblem before the Nazi's did?

I can't for the life of me remember where I heard it though..
