went to see about a mole job at a cider farm last night the french farmer
herd that i do a bit and asked if i would get rid of the moles around all hes
apple trees.about 10 fields full anyway i got the job 10euros a
mole :wink.i was having a drink or 2 with him turns out hes also herd that
im the mad englishman who gets hold of foxes when dug and would i like
to have a day out with him on his land.life's getting better.
Now, this is giving me a headache already. Moles. England, Scotland and Wales has moles. What about the Scilly Isles and the Isle of Man? I know for a personal fact that Jersey has moles. Now ye stating France does. Oh; Isle of Wight? I don't remember.
So, we need to know about the Scilly's, Man and Wight. But, what's the betting they have moles anyway?
So just what the f*ck is it with Eire? Why have we got no moles???
I can personally offer that it's very wet and largely acidic over here. Yet I see worms, just like anywhere. The land I know is rather stoney too. But these are big stones. They wouldn't bother a mole. He'd go round them. It's not like he's be burrowing through beds of them.
We need a Really, really experienced Mole Catcher in here on this one. Is it something to do with the nature of our land?
Or do the native hares give us a clue? Been here since the Ice Age. Maybe moles simply didn't get here in time, before the land masses split?
And we like to think we know a thing or two about moles, eh?
