this morning me, sean, ryan and tommy headed out for the day ferreting. we went to a farm that we worked last year with both the nets and the hawk. started the day on a little warren in the centre of the field. after few minutes from the ferret being entered, and nothing happening, we waited for the a while longer. and ther was still nothing moving below ground. so we got the locator out and, found a mark but after digging 3 foot we broke through but no ferret no rabbit

3 more digs and finally broke in on top of the ferret, but this time we couldnt reach the rabbit we tried to trench in abit to get the rabbit but it had F****d off. wallbash

so next warren was a large hedge, that had been ferreted a few times last season but with limited success HMMM the problem being that it was such a big warren and they dont seem to shift well so sean and i long netted one side of the hedge while tommy and ryan netted up the far side. 4 ferrets entered to see if that was any better at making the rabbits shift  but was the same few bolted and were netted and had another 2 dug from this warren. (both by Me)

did another warren and had another 2 one clean bolt one dig (tommy this time) with rabbit retreved from the dig.

heres a few pics

Some f*ckin lovely looking rabbits there, mate! I mean; They're what ye call Rabbits, aren't they?

Maybe, now things are cooling down a bit, those of ye with any about can expect more of the same?

Funny. I live in a bunny blackspot. If I'd been born here and had no outside contact? I may well have simply never known rabbits existed!

Wish they did. It'd give me some sport and my neighbours a treat. Couldn't eat one myself these days though if ye put a gun to my head!
